Circumnavigation of Flathead Lake

Yesterday the wife and I complete a circumnavigation of Flathead Lake by motor vehicle. The forecast predicted sunshine and mid 40's, but we got cloudy and mid 30's. It still felt nice to get out but not worth trying to fish. (I still took a few brisk casts)
This picture is for you pa.
The area around the lake is known for its delicious cherries. They have little stands everywhere where you can buy fresh cherries to snack on while you fish!
Some spots right off the lake are in the mountains with a great view over the lake.
This spot would have been so much more neat if it was sunny!
This pic reminded my of my buddy Jeremy! It is on the Flathead Reservation on the south side of the lake. We made a brief spurt from our circumnavigation to check out the Mission Mountains. If you see them on a sunny day they are magnificent.
The clouds parted just long enough to give us a glimpse of the dramatic Missions. On the other side of this range is the Swan Valley, home of the Swan River. From the valley you fish between two scenic mountain ranges!
 This lake is cool!
We drove by the museum on the south side of the lake and had to turn around. We didn't stop in but maybe next time. We had fun but next time I'll have to fish more!

Been Busy...

But who can be bothered by being busy here...
The green light says it all.

I've been tying and selling lots of flies. Check out the ones on ebay by searching for the names I use for the flies here. You'll recognize the backgrounds on mine as the ones with a light wood colored background.
Black, Red, and Yellow Trout Candy Zebra Midges (all size 18).
These are UV Blue Flash TC Zebra Midges and more Trout Candy Midges in size 22.
And These are Pearl, Green, and Blue/Orange Flash TC Zebras.
I tied these for sale and a whole bunch more to pack my midge fly box with!

I hope to try tossing some heavy metal this weekend while the wife and I are circumnavigating Flathead Lake. -Stay Tuned-
