Today I hiked with a new friend and an old one. We started off under sunny skies and in warm temperatures. By the time we arrived back at the trailhead the heat and humidity had intensified.
Hiking through this old burn left us with great views of the surrounding area but provided little respite from the sun.
The first mile of the trail is relatively flat but the rise for the next 1.6 miles was pretty intense.
The overlook provided great views of Lake McDonald and the mountains of Glacier National Park. Totally worth the hike.
This mountain is much more impressive after you've hiked it!
