No two trout are the same


These are both cuttbow.

These brookies came from very different water. The first came from warmer water with very little cover in the middle stretch of the stream. An abundance of food in that stretch is evidenced by the excessive girth on that trout! The second came from near the headwaters where the water was ice cold. The fish came out from under a rock to strike.

These browns both came on the Elk Hair Caddis from further downstream than I usually fish. They're the only two browns I've gotten so far this season.
